It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Wildwood! Coloured lights are on the houses, trees are being set up and, of course, there is all that snow. If you are able, please try to be a Snow Angel for your neighbours. What a great way to show that you care. The Christmas season brings so much joy and activity to homes. It is a time to get together with family, friends and neighbours. It’s also a time to think back on what we have done in the past year.
2013 was a busy year for the Wildwood Community Association. We have been working on changing our board structure, implementing a business plan, and creating policies and procedures to help streamline all that the Board takes on. Take a look on page 4 for the WCA Activity Highlights of the past year – there were too many to include on this page. The board meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except December, July and August). Please feel free to join us to keep in touch with everything that is going on in Wildwood.
We want to be able to provide you with well-run, enjoyable events and activities, but we are also mindful that we are a volunteer-run organization. It takes many hours to accomplish everything we do during the year and we need to be respectful of our volunteers’ time. The old saying, “many hands make light work,” is so true. If you want to help with one of our events or programs, please contact our volunteer coordinator. I would like to thank all of our dedicated volunteers for their help and commitment this year. I look forward to many wonderful events and activities coming up in 2014.
I wish each of you peace and joy this holiday season. I hope that you are able to relax and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Have a wonderful Christmas. I look forward to the wonderful things that we are going to do next year.
