It’s hard to believe that this year is almost over. I think it is really true that time starts to speed up as you get older! We have had such a busy year in our community and with the festive season beginning, things will be even busier for most of us. But this kind of busy is the good kind of busy, spending time with family and friends. The Christmas season brings so much joy and activity to homes. It is a time to get together with family, friends and neighbours. It’s also a time to think back on what we have done in the last year and eagerly anticipate all the wonderful things that could happen in the coming year. Please see the year-end review on p. 5 of the December Warbler for a look back on 2015 in Wildwood.
There are so many things that we have to be proud of within our community. People are active and willing to help with our events, and we all know that Wildwood is a special place. Our community association board and committees are committed to providing our community with events and programs that help to keep Wildwood great. There are many people on the board who spend hours doing things behind the scenes just to keep us organized and busy.
The board is always looking for new people who would be interested in helping out in some capacity. We do have a few vacant positions that would be great to have new people fill. As wonderful as our board is, we are always looking for new ideas and new people will bring a fresh look at things we do in our community. Thank you so much to all of our committed volunteers who helped out in 2015. Without you, Wildwood would be just another community.
Our Wildwood Community Association Board meets the third Tuesday of each month (except December, July and August). Please feel free to join us to keep in touch with everything that is going on in Wildwood or offer up your ideas.
I wish each of you peace and joy this holiday season. I hope that you are able to relax and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Have a wonderful Christmas. I look forward to many wonderful events and activities coming up in 2016.
