Taking care of and watching over our Community Garden

With the many warm days and evenings we experienced throughout last autumn and this winter some trees and plants have begun to show signs of growth. At this time we remind everyone to please keep to the paths in the garden as many bulbs (garlic, flowers etc.) have been planted in the ground beds. We have put up some fencing to help protect these plants.

During some of the warm evenings, some individuals have come to the garden patio and have enjoyed the area disrespectfully and in an unsafe manner. They have left a mess for others to clean up and have even vandalised a donated, and much appreciated, piece of furniture. We’ve recently installed a new light over the patio. We encourage you to enjoy an evening stroll and to report any signs of disrespectful activity you may see.

We’re very excited to offer an amazing line up of gardening and food masters that will share their wealth of knowledge and experience through our 2016 Community Garden Education Program! Please stay tuned to our Warbler and Facebook notices for all the information you need on these sessions and to register. Questions? Contact garden@mywildwood.ca.
