Community Garden Education

We are grateful to the TD Friends of the Environment for a grant to help us plan and provide our education programs for the next year. Everyone is welcome to attend the gardening sessions. There is information for everyone ages 5 to 95!

June 18th
10am-12pm

Planting Veggies in the Garden

Megan Simmons and Graham Waugh, two urban farmers, will talk about the ever-important soil food web. The will help us plant some more veggies in the garden and give us tips on becoming urban farmers!

June 23rd
6:30pm – 8:30pm

Wildflower Walk

Walk along with neighbour and botany enthusiast, Neil Jennings, author of several books on wildflowers. Please meet at the community garden.

July 16th
10am – 12pm

Composting

August 13th
10am – 12pm (For Kids)1:30pm- 3:30pm

Fermentation

Luka Symons, certified holistic nutritionist – will teach the kids how to make some delicious fermented veggies.

Luka will return in the afternoon to teach adults how to make some nutritious fermented foods!
