    Winter Programs Update 2021

    Due to the recent extension of the latest provincial restrictions, there is continued uncertainty about when indoor and outdoor group activities will be able to restart. Therefore, for the time being, the WCA are suspending all indoor and outdoor group programs. We will work hard to re-start programs and sports when it is safe to do so. Please keep an eye on the website, the WCA Facebook page and the Warbler for updates as the situation evolves.     Outdoor Series-Fall Program from Calgary Recreation

    Highlights The program is offering an outdoor skills program, with a unique focus on recreation skills, nature education & leadership Two programs have been developed to reach Ages 5 – 9yr & 10-17yr Programs will run in all forms of weather 4-week mini session Locations Confederation Park Golf Course South Glenmore Park Shouldice Aquatic Centre Maple Ridge Golf Course Programs begin on November 14th, 2020.     White Oak Playground Project Update

    The second phase of the Wildwood Playground Project at White Oak is ready for ground breaking!  During the week of September 1, the City of Calgary will begin to break ground to prep the area to the west of the small children’s play area for the Indigenous Education phase. This phase has been 2 years in the making, with full consultations with CAUAC, Elder Clarence Wolfleg, Indigenous Artist Ryan Willert and the City of Calgary.  We are excited that this will start and hope to be completed this fall.
