Our neighbourhood is fueled by an army of volunteers who work tirelessly to bring our programs and events to life … but we need you to keep it awesome.

Open Volunteer Positions

We’re always short on hands to run events and programs. It’s always the same people putting in the work.  We need fresh hands and minds to keep our community programs and events running.

So, why do it? 

First, it makes you feel good to help others. Second, build skills, meet friends, enjoy free appreciation parties, and keep soccer alive! Flexible roles: 2-10 hours/month. Event Planning Volunteer

Collaborates with the Events Director to design and organize community events, such as Tour de Wildwood, Harvest Festival or the Community Clean-up, by coordinating logistics, schedules, and resources to align with WCA’s community goals.

Event Execution Volunteer

Assists the Events Director in implementing events, managing on-site operations, equipment setup, and participant engagement to ensure smooth and successful event delivery. Every event we have we need an army of people to execute it behind the scenes. 

Vice President

Supports the president in leading the organization, overseeing community programs, events, and initiatives while ensuring alignment with the association’s goals. They often step in to lead meetings or make decisions in the president’s absence and may manage specific projects or committees.

Communications Director

Works with Communications Team (Warbler Editor, Webmaster, Sign Coordinator and Advertising Coordinator) to establish a monthly communication plan and budget for the upcoming year. Updates the WCA website, as required, with information on new programs and events, manages the general WCA email account and directs incoming email to the applicable person(s).

Community Advocacy

Maintains awareness and knowledge of local issues and works with regulators / government to impact proposed changes. Engages community residents as required.

Volunteer Coordinator

Determines (through other directors) volunteer requirements for the year. Recruits volunteers using available tools and information.
