    White Oak Playground Project Update

    The second phase of the Wildwood Playground Project at White Oak is ready for ground breaking!  During the week of September 1, the City of Calgary will begin to break ground to prep the area to the west of the small children’s play area for the Indigenous Education phase. This phase has been 2 years in the making, with full consultations with CAUAC, Elder Clarence Wolfleg, Indigenous Artist Ryan Willert and the City of Calgary.  We are excited that this will start and hope to be completed this fall.     White Oak/Spruce Drive Playground Rebuild!

    White Oak Playground Replacement Update We have entered the homestretch of the rebuild for the White Oak/Spruce Drive playground! This initiative began over 14 months ago with resident Brian Van Vliet coming forward to take the lead on the project and forming a committee with Felicia Esposito, Alastair Patterson, Kevin Philips and Heather Audet. There have been grant proposals, meetings with city and parks representatives, meetings with indigenous artists and representatives, engagement and input from the community, as well as a lot of quote and proposal reviews.     White Oak Playground Donations

    White Oak Playground Rebuild – A Chance for You to Shape Wildwood As you may have read in previous Warblers, a group of Wildwood residents, through the Wildwood Community Association (WCA), are leading a rebuild of the White Oak/Spruce Drive Playground. We are excited to announce that the City of Calgary supports this rebuild and has put financial support behind it. Grant requests have also been submitted with the Calgary Parks Foundation and the Calgary Foundation Neighbours grants.
